A couple of weeks ago I took part in a wedding fair with a difference! Sarah Ayonmike's Interactive Wedding Experience was held at this historic venue with a host of great local exhibitors. Here is a selection of images from the day, enjoy...
Two week before their big day I met up with Joe & Emma, we had a good chat about their forthcoming Kent wedding & they got the chance to see how I would be working as their photographer. The location was their choice, somewhere very local to my home that I hadn't visited before, it was an ideal spot, I know I will shoot there again.
Natasha and I had a great day at the Interactive Wedding Experience on Sunday, lots of networking was done and I grabbed a few great images too - full blog to follow soon...
Emma told me at her pre-wedding shoot with Joe, that (like many brides) rain on their wedding day was her worst nightmare. I know from my photography experiences and someone who also married on a rather wet day, the rain can get to you! But on Friday as much as the rain was relentless Emma never stopped shinning and always had a smile. Congratulations Joe & Emma!
Kent Life is an amazing venue with great charm and character, I went to a wedding there last September as guest and really enjoyed the atmosphere and subtle quirkiness of the place. A few weeks ago I found out there was an opportunity for another photographer to exhibit there so I jumped at the chance! I have yet to photograph there but I can't wait to get the chance, there are so many great beauty spots as well as alternative angles to capture.
If Kent Life is venue that has caught your eye for your forthcoming wedding or if you are looking for something a little different, pop in this coming Sunday (17th March), pay it a visit and come and say hello!
Choosing a wedding photographer can be difficult, and when I get asked "what should I look for in a photographer", I simply say to ask yourself these three questions;
1, Do I like the the photographers work?
2, Do I like what they are offering and is it value for money for me?
3, Do I like the photographers personality?
Well, the first step is simplest, look on a photographers website, if you don't like what you see move on to the next one, if you do like the work dig a little deeper into their site and make an enquiry!
The second is a little more complex, this is really down to you and what you find value for money. These photographs will be an investment to what will ultimately be the memories that you keep for years to come.
Finally the personality of your photographer may be more important than you think. This is one of the most important days, imagine spending the day with someone you really don't like - it happens! So make sure you find them friendly and easy to get on with.
Thinking about the advice I always give I thought I would put together a new deal to combat the above points. If you see what you like on my site and you find yourself digging a little deeper, you can now book me for a £50 engagement shoot which will ultimately help you to see the consistency of my work, find out how I work and what I am like a photographer and a person...
...if you find yourself liking me and liking the the work I produce for you, you can then book me for your big day and redeem the £50. It couldn't be easier! There are a few conditions but they are not major, so if this is something that interests you please complete a contact form and I will give you all the details you will need.
Hello & welcome to the blog! Feel free to have a nose around & leave a comment or two, I hope you enjoy what you see! Dan
