Firstly a huge congratulations to the wonderful couple that are Tracey & Neil. It was an honour to capture their special day at Hadlow Manor, Kent.
As usual I stuck to my tried & tested styles of shooting, part traditional, part modern & part reportage! But I also took a couple of shots with a little extra twist in mind for my post production - something I've never tried for weddings before. These are my favourites
Above - This first image of Tracey is on the way to her ceremony.
She had paused for the photo to be taken, but there was a busy background so I thought it was ideal to have extra blur. I then singled out her head, shoulders & bouquet, also adding part of the curtain for a little texture.
See the colour version on my Flickr page.
This second shot was quite flat originally, so to add blur and singling out Neil's face with that beaming (slightly nervous pre wedding) smile made sense.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Sam in the studio. You may remember this photo (left) of him that was part of my 'March Project', taken at Sam's home.
Four months on & his 1st birthday has passed, Sam has grown not just in size but in character too!
He really was a joy to capture, there were smiles, laughter, dancing and of course Mini Chedders!
I hope you enjoy the results, & I own a big thanks to Gary & Bev for asking me to photograph Sam!
Hello & welcome to the blog! Feel free to have a nose around & leave a comment or two, I hope you enjoy what you see! Dan
