My first blog of 2014 is a look back at 2013, full of love, laughter, silliness, smiles, tears, poses, private moments, friends, family, the dog, holidays, weddings (lots of weddings), portraits, engagements and much more - I hope you enjoy my selection of 2013 moments...
What a beautiful evening it was in London! Katie & Tom are a lovely couple who's wedding I am really looking forward to. I met them at their home and we took a long walk along the south bank of the Thames stopping now and again for a few special photos.
I have Lydia and Sam to thank for introducing me to this very green and beautiful park. I have lived close to the park for most of my life but had never visited it before. I'm sure I will visit it again as it is great for both a day out and a photo shoot. I hope you enjoy this collection...
Well isn't it a small world - It turns out that Claire & Alex are my parents next door neighbours! We met up in the beautiful Rochester and had some fun with its rustic character on a warm spring afternoon.
Sometimes when you first start clicking the camera shutter you know the shoot is going to be a fantastic one! Cherelle & Christian were a dream to work with, nothing was too much, they were only too happy to stand on random objects, sit on damp grass and climb over farmers fences! I hope you enjoy this set of images...
Jo & Steve are due to marry in August later this year. A couple of weeks ago I met up with them and their two boys for some relaxed family portraits as well as their pre-wedding (engagement) shoot at Mote Park, Maidstone.
Last week I met up with Nick Bosworth who is a talented musician from the Whitstable area. We used Tankerton slopes & Whitstable as the backdrop to create Nick's head shots, gallery images and website banners, here is a small selection of what we did...
I met Jehan & Chris at the Kent Life wedding fair a few weeks ago and they have taken me up on my £50 engagement shoot offer. They decided to have Leeds Castle as the backdrop to their photos - great choice, sooo many photo opportunities at this stunning location! Jehan & Chris were a little camera shy to start with, but soon warmed to the challenge and that is what it is all about, it is a great way to find out what it is like to have the focus on you before the big day.
Two week before their big day I met up with Joe & Emma, we had a good chat about their forthcoming Kent wedding & they got the chance to see how I would be working as their photographer. The location was their choice, somewhere very local to my home that I hadn't visited before, it was an ideal spot, I know I will shoot there again.
I do seem to photograph a lot at Rochester, this because I find it an amazingly interesting city and every time I end up there I find a new street, backdrop or angle that captures my eye - Rochester never fails to provide nice textures and pretty scenes. Kate & Olly are a very sweet couple and were very easy to photograph, they were very natural. We only took an hour with this shoot and I'm really pleased with the resulting photos.
Hello & welcome to the blog! Feel free to have a nose around & leave a comment or two, I hope you enjoy what you see! Dan
