Three weeks ago I bought myself a new lens, a Sigma 10mm Fisheye - why? Well I had the choice, buy myself a new camera which will update my two year old camera I am using at present, or buy a new lens. I chose the lens as I see it as more of an investment. A new camera would be great, it would be better in low light and have the option of using HD video, but it is just an updated recording device. Where as a new lens, especially one as unique as a fisheye, gives you a completely new style of picture.
There are two main uses I want to get from the lens. The first is getting the wide shot of a wide area or venue were I may not have a lot of space to get the shot. This will be ideal for landscapes or a church where I maybe shooting a clients wedding.
This shot of a Church was taken less than 7 meters away from the building. This church was a perfect example of having restricted space to work, there was only a narrow path and 3 graves between the church and the boundary fence were I was stood.
