I was thinking of doing a review on the GoPro HD Hero 3, but really I haven't used the camera enough, nor do I know enough about this type of camera to compare or do a fair test. So I thought I would just share some of the photos I (and my friend Tony) caught using two cameras on a five day trip to Chamonix in the French Alps.
The GoPro cameras are dubbed by the manufacture as the 'worlds most versatile camera', I must agree, it is pretty damn versatile, especially when it comes to outdoor sports and activities.
On our trip we shot video at 720p 50fsp, the camera can shoot up to 4K video (see specs here), and while shooting video it can also captured these stills.
What makes this camera so versatile is the waterproof housing is comes with, the attachment you get and can buy that help you mount it almost anywhere and its ability to deal with shake and movement. I really do love this camera, it is such fun watching back the action and seeing what photos it has captured.
To see more info on the camera visit the GoPro website and watch their promotional video.
